IT IS TIME TO TAKE A RISK

In 4 months I will be giving my two weeks notice at my job. Now I know people leave their jobs all the time but you see I will be self employeed. I will let you guys know what it is later, yes it has to do with writing. I am always telling others to have faith and just do it, now its time for me to practice what I preach. Dont worry guys I do have a plan. What a testimony its going to be when things work out.

CRY ME A RIVER

So the guy I used to date called me last night to check up on me. I told him I was fine and I hope he was doing well. He said he was making it the best he could...... Hmmmm, when we were seeing each other he said he wanted to date without us being a "couple" and that he would understand if I wanted to end it. I ended it and I must say it was so hurtful to do so, but i could not waste my time with someone who refused to put me first. If you dont see yourself as number 1 than how can you expect anyone else too.

KIM KARDASHIAN WENT FROM NEGATIVE TO POSITIVE

　

I was surfing the web the other day and came across a article on kim kardashian, it seemed the comments under the article was so unforgiving and mean spirited. People kept talking about the sex tape and the fact that she does not have a talent. Say what you want about kim she has taken a negative time in her life and turned it positive. I realize that alot of people are not big fans of hers but we all have things in our life that we are not proud of, the only difference is that the whole world can't see our mistakes. So no matter how badly people may judge and talk about you, keep going toward the direction in being the best you that you can be.

CONFUSING LOVE AND LUST

　

YES! I am guilty of this, thinking that you are so much in love but then when it all fizzles you realize you were just lusting after his or her touch. What a mind game it plays on you. Love is a feeling within without having to have the physical feeling. Lust....{jackie is breathing heavy at this point ...lol} lust is all about feel me, feel me, feel me! You yearn so strongly for that feeling that it tricks you into thinking its coming from a deep place, oh its coming from a deep place alright but that place isn't the heart ..lol. What do you guys and girls think?

I believe doing the opposite of what a jerk expects is much more affective. If you get all upset and mad, you are actually giving them what they want and that is to ruin your day. So smile harder, laugh louder and be kinder. You just showed them that their misery will not affect your day. xoxo

I refuse to follow anyone, if i make a mistake or fail it will be because it was my decision to go that way. Some people will wait to see what everyone else is doing before they make their move and if something is hot at the moment then everyone one flocks to it and copies. I'm good on copying, if everyone in the room is wearing a red shirt than you can best believe i'm going to walk in that room with a bright green shirt with my head up high and a smile on my face. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

Its not easy to be focused when life hits you with crazy situations. I recently had to end a relationship with a guy that basically wanted to have his cake and eat it too. We were seeing each other for about 8 months, he said he wasn't ready for anything other than friends. So I tried to go with the flow and keep everything on a friend basis but that was hard because he was with me almost everyday acting like a couple. His excuse was that he was coming out of a relationship and wasn't ready. Well the truth really was that he was seeing his ex girlfriend still and couldn't let go. I blame myself because i knew that he wasn't being truthful but i thought i could change him. Dont waste your time trying to change someone into what you want them to be, it is what it is. Life is to short, that time that i wasted could have went on my grind and focus.

BE THANKFUL

Its Sunday afternoon and i'm already dreading going to work tommorrow. I started daydreaming about being able to write for a living and never having to see my 9to5 again. After cursing my job in my mind while I sit on my comfy bed writing you guys this, I realized the job that i curse so badly has given me the ability to pay the bills, keep the heat on and even keep food in my frig. It most certainly is not my dream job but its still a blessing. My current job is how i got this new laptop im writing you on. So i guess God is teaching to me to appreciate what i have right now then he will bless me with more. xoxoxoxoxo

Are you certain about your dream? At one time i was juggling between becoming a Stand up Comic or a Writer. Even though i enjoyed getting up on stage and performing, i got more excitement and fulfillment in writing the jokes. When it was time for me to actually get in my car and drive to the open mic to perform, it almost felt like a chore. Writing on the other hand is my zen place, my best friend. Im not getting paid to write on my blog to you guys and i dont care, i enjoy and look foward to writing to you every single day! When you are passionate about your dream the money will surely follow.

Please say it aint so! lol, Are you that person? The person who gets angry when their dreams are not happening quick enough, but your friends life is skyrocketing to the top rapidly? Do you say stuff like "the only reason she got the part is because her father knows the director." We have all probably been a little guilty of this at one time in our lives. My advice would be to think about when its your turn to shine and how you would feel if you were being talked about because of your achievements. Everyone will have their time to shine if they are putting in the work. Be patient your turn will come, until then try to be a little more sincere towards someone elses triumphs.

DONT HANG OUT WITH THE LIFELESS

Remember when your mother would say," you are the company you keep" and you would think to yourself "Mom is so old fashioned." As we become adults we understand that wisdom mom was trying to share with us. The more serious i got about chasing my dreams the less i could hang out with certain people, because they would bring my spirits down with negativity. Im not saying that they were doing it on purpose, i think that some people can be negative without even realizing it. I think everyone has had a dream at one time in their life but life and all the drama that comes with it beat them down and took their dream away:( My heart goes out to those people but i cant let them take my dream away from me. Some of these people can even be in your own family, so my advice to you is to keep your dream close to your heart. Dont discuss it with the lifeless, because the lifeless will only give you lifeless advice.

FIND YOURSELF BEFORE YOU FIND YOUR DREAM

This is something that i had to do because i noticed i was making alot of bad decisions as far as relationships are concerned. I had a problem picking the wrong boyfriend, for some reason i always got stuck with the needy selfish men. So one day i realized it wasnt them it was me, i go into relationships as the mommy/girlfriend the girl that fixes everything, the girl that you can wipe your feet on her back and all she will do is give you a kiss on the cheek and go put her shirt in the laundry. I finally realized that a relationship is 50/50 the two people in it should be getting equal attention, not one getting more attention and affection than the other. We will always grow and learn new things about ourselves but when we do we shouldnt be afraid to accept what we must change to be ready for the new and approved things to come in our lives.

SELF DOUBT

Last night i was walking around sipping a cup of tea and realized i was suddenly sad, scared and depressed. Why you ask? I dont know, all i know is i started doubting everything, my writing, this blog and my future. I started thinking what if no one ever reads my stuff, no one is interested and im stuck with my stupid 9 to 5 job for the rest of my life. What if everyone is reading my blog and thinks im a flipping idiot. WHAT IF? I was in such a bad mood last night i hung up on this guy that im dating because i did not know how to tell him that im scared to death. Scared that my dream will never become a reality, scared that i wont be able to take care of my mom when she gets old, that i wont ever be able to buy my own home, JUST PLAIN SCARED! So guys if you ever had doubts as you can see you are not alone, but we must keep going, we must continue to work hard toward our dream no matter what. Dont give up, accept that its a feeling that will surely come in your life just like the positive ones, you cant have positive feelings without the negative ones. What we must do is learn how to control the negative feelings when they come. I use different ways to handle these feelings, take a hot bath, take a walk, have prayer or talk to my mom. Find something that will get you back on track to making your dreams come true. xoxo

HAVING MORE THAN ONE DREAM

Having more than one dream is fine its just important to prioritize your dreams if you want them to come true. For example if you want to become a professional singer but you also want to become a Doctor, both of these titles will take up so much of your time and attention and you must give them each 100% not 50%. So how would you be able to give both professions 100% of your time and see results? You cant. You must tackle one dream at a time if you are truly serious about them coming true. You dont want one dream to suffer because all your focus and energy went into your other dream, dont spread yourself to thin. So start with one dream first, conquer it and then when your ready move on to the next.

PUTTING A PLAN TOGETHER AND STICKING TO IT

This subject was not always easy to do for me, i learned as i got older that you have to be patient. Dont quit and start from another angle without giving the first plan a chance. Things take time and patience, so you may not see it all come together right away but just wait. You know how you plant a seed in soil, water it and put it in the window for sun? Doesnt it seem like it takes forever for that seed to sprout and bud? Just when you give up on it you look and to your surprise a bud has appeared! Give your plan a chance, just like that seed that finally showed a bud your plan will too, if you give it the proper tools to grow. Make sure you write your plan out and break it down one small goal at a time. Dont try to bite off more than you can chew or you will get frustrated and think the plan is not working when actually it wasnt the plan that gave up, you did.

DONT LET FEAR STOP YOU FROM PURSUING YOUR DREAMS

Do you fear that you would be putting so much time and effort into your dream with no guarantees of making it? Do you fear rejection? Do you fear if you follow your dreams your parents/husband or wife wont except it and they will turn their back on you? Do you fear that someone will tell you that you are not good enough? These are normal feelings to have, let me explain how you can control those feelings so they wont end up controlling you. Have you ever spoken to someone to hear them say that they wished they didnt let fear get the best of them and when they had a dream at one time, they wished they didnt let their dream go? They wished they didnt listen to people telling them that they are crazy and to not embark on their dream because they are going to land flat on their face. Whenever i get scared i remember those people and remind myself that i never want to be that person. That person that wished that they could go back in time and choose to not give in to fear and go for their dreams. The next time you are scared and questioning if you should go for it, i want you to think about the people who regret dropping their dream and ask yourself do you want to be that person that now says.....I should have.

YOU HAVE TO START TODAY

Start today! I dont care how small the goal at least it is a step toward achieving your dream. Daydreaming about your dream and not making steps/small goals toward it is insanity. Stop daydreaming and face your reality. Do you sing? Is singing the dream that you want? Then you are a singer right now! Not tommorrow or next week when your life is more in control. Life is unpredictable so you cant put off working toward your dream because your life is not where you want it to be. I am a writer who has had her share of ups and downs but even though it can be tough i still must do something everyday that will help me become the best writer that i know i am capable of. Now here is the tricky part, if your going to give yourself the title of what you want to become you have to put in the work......TODAY! START TODAY DONT PROCRASTINATE! Even if its one very small step toward acheiving your dream. If you are a singer and need to start taking vocal lessons then your main and only focus should be finding lessons not daydreaming about touring with rihanna ...VOCAL LESSONS! Look at your reality for what it is then make small goals and complete them one goal at a time, in the end this will lead you to your dream come true!

THE INTRODUCTION

Why am I starting a dreams blog? So you wont waste time like I did thinking negative and losing focus from listening to negative people/haters telling you that you cant, you wont, you couldn't and you shouldn't even try. Sometimes we are our worst enemy saying these things to ourselves out of fear and frustration. To be able to open up a blog and find inspiring words right at your fingertips at your most insecure, sad and self doubting times, {YOU AINT GOT TIME FOR THAT} lol should help you get out of your funk a little faster and focus on making your dreams come true. So here it is guys a blog to help you stay on the straight and narrow path to be the person that you have always wanted to be. No matter what it is that you want to become a singer, doctor, ballet dancer, professional hooker...lol just kidding, but if that's what you want to become then don't let me stand in your way lol. Some people just need some positive words when they are not able to get it from their loved ones. So you guys will get new encouraging words everyday just for you! I get so sad when I hear some people say dreams come true for some but not for all. NOT TRUE! Dreams come true for everyone that knows how to attack the plan and how to keep their eye on the prize without being so easily swayed.
